    TF13: NECA's "ALIENS" Action Figures

Is This Gonna Be A Standup Fight, Sir, Or Another Bughunt?...

One of NECA's biggest announcement at last year's Toy Fair was news that they would be making action figures from 1986's ALIENS. Toy Fair 2013 revealed these amazing figures in all their glory. Wave 1, scheduled for release this April, will include an Alien Warrior (Brown), Hicks and Hudson. The Colonial Marines in this assortment will feature bare heads, sans helmet.

An assortment of ALIENS 2-packs will see release this summer. These exciting sets will pack a Marine - Hicks and Hudson - each with a new helmeted head sculpt and expression, as well as new accessories such as Hicks and his shotgun ("I like to keep this handy... for close encounters.") An Alien Warrior will be paired with each Colonial Marine - each Alien featuring awesome new exploding battle damage! This also allows NECA to release the many Alien color variants: The blue tinged Alien with the exploding head will come with Hicks (to replicate the shotgun scene), while the damaged brown Alien will come with Hudson. NECA informed us that the black Alien Warrior shown at Toy Fair will also see release, sometime during the holiday season, though they are keeping it a secret on how (store exclusive?).

Confirmed was that an Alien Queen is now in the works for release this Fall! NECA will also be working on the original 1979 ALIEN, releasing an updated version of the original creature. Count me as excited!

Check out the short video below to see NECA's incredible light-up ALIENS diorama display at Toy Fair. Sorry gang, it's not for sale.

Please please tell me that each fig in this series will include a bonus part that will connect together to form that AWESOME diorama! (or at least that they will be selling the diorama as a separate playset sometime...)

No, I did ask! That was built just for Toy Fair. But hey, with all these dioramas they are coming out with, maybe down the road they will release a small one.

Seeing as how we're getting the Predator Trophy Wall that's a possibility.

These figures look great! Loving the battle-damaged aliens, so awesome.

Hopefully this line does well because as we've seen with the Predators, if it's successful we get a slew of different figures, many of them obscure and highly-unique. Kenner Aliens: This needs to happen!
