TF13: Diamond Select Toys Star Trek

Boldly Going With Tons Of New Toys In 2013...

Diamond’s Star Trek line is well known for its figures, minimates, electronic ships, and role-play toys, and you can expect more from all of those categories and more in 2013. The Trek section of the DST booth at Toy Fair held quite a few items including the just released Bird of Prey and Enterprise-B alongside the upcoming re-releases of the TOS Enterprise, Enterprise-E First Contact (Spring), and a new Nemesis Enterprise-E with all new deco (shipping now)! Star Trek Minimates are returning after a bit of a hiatus with assortments at Toys R Us and specialty shops featuring characters from all eras and films; look for those in the Spring as well as the Enterprise minimate ship. The 7 inch figure line continues with the current style of interchangeable parts to recreate specific scenes, with Picard up next. An original Enterprise cutaway ship from Dragon Models will be offered fully painted and assembled, sure to be a hit with collectors. Role-play items included tons of tricorders, phasers, tribbles, and more, with store exclusives differentiated by unique colors and variant versions.

The new Klingon Disruptor with lights and sounds is scheduled for release later this month (lock your pre-orders at BigBadToyStore.com). Check it out in action in the video above! Vinyl bust banks return with Spock up next; he’ll stand approximately 8 inches tall. Finally, DST is introducing Granix art plaques starting with the original Enterprise, and adding 7 of 9 as the first TV character in the Femme Fatales line of statues!

I just received the Enterprise-B. What a nightmare. DST has outdone themselves with the screw ups yet again. It says "Excelsior" on the engineering hull instead of "Enterprise", the incorrect text on the starboard side is BACKWARDS, it is riddled with black fingerprints and streaks, and the impulse engines have a huge crack around them at the assembly to the saucer because it was not put together properly.

Personally, I have HAD it with this company and I sincerely hope that another company can come along and make electronic starships that would be worth owning!
