Newly formed Rhode Island based toy company - DeConte Figures & Collectibles (decontefiguresandcollectibles.com) - has announced their first licensed product release, one that is sure to be a surprise to die-hard horror fans. Based on the character from the 2006 cult horror film Behind the Mask, The Rise of Leslie Vernon, collectors are being treated to a 7" Leslie Vernon action figure and limited edition reproductions of the mask and scythe props from the movie. All are available now at decontefiguresandcollectibles.com with a percentage of all sales going back to Glen Echo Entertainment to help fund the second "Behind the Mask" movie.

The Leslie action figure is priced at $25, while an $80 limited edition figure includes a card insert signed by director Scott Glosserman, actor Nathan Baesel and sculptor Neal DeConte. Only 100 versions of this figure were produced. The mask replica ($600) and scythe replica ($400) are each limited to 100 pieces and come displayed in an attractive hardwood display case.

"It’s one of the best horror movies in the last 10 years and we’re very excited to have this as our first license," said DeConte Figures & Collectibles president Neal DeConte, who started the company in 2011. "We’re trying to do things that you won't see from other toy companies out there. I love the obscure stuff, always have and always will."

Other upcoming releases from DeConte Figures & Collectibles include the launch of a "Cinematic Heroes" statue line debuting with Kane Hodder, best known for his role as Friday the 13th's Jason Voorhees. Also be on the look out for a new music action figure series featuring Spider One, lead singer from Powerman 5000 and Lordi, a Finnish monster metal band.
