While movie goers eagerily await the release of The Hobbit this week, another movie directed by almost-Hobbit director Guillermo del Toro is turning heads. After months of teasers, the first trailer for Pacific Rim has been released and oh boy, does it look to be a kaiju, mecha fan boys dream come true! Pacific Rim opens in theaters July 12, 2013.

A giant mech vs daikaiju U.S movie directed by Guillermo del Toro? I've wanted to see a film like this since I was 10 years old!

That is definitely Glados' voice! Not sure how they managed to throw that in, but's that pretty sweet. I'm sure she won't have the same crazy personality though!
