A plethora of upcoming DC collectibles were on display at Sideshow Collectibles’ booth at the San Diego Comic-Con. Several previously-revealed pieces were on display including the amazing trio consisting of Batman, Joker and Poison Ivy Premium Format Figures while two additional mixed media pieces made their debut at the show Superman and Green Lantern. The Batman and Poison Ivy statues are available now for pre-order here at Sideshow’s website and there might still be a chance to order the soon-to-be-released Joker before he sells out. Prices and order information for the Green Lantern, Superman premium formats has not yet been revealed at press time but they will surely pop up at some time during one of Sideshow’s upcoming weekly newsletters so stay tuned.

The stunning Superman life-size bust also made it’s Comic-Con debut next to the soon-to-be released Batman life size bust. Pricing and order information for the Superman bust was not available at the show either.

Passers by were floored at the sight of the upcoming Catwoman Legendary Scale Figure which made it’s official debut as the first DC character in Sideshow’s epic collection. Flaunting all her unmistakable assets in a skin tight black leather suit and brandishing a real leather whip in-hand, this half scale beauty was turning heads all weekend long.

With all these amazing high-end DC collectibles it is hard to imagine that any other inspired pieces could top the mixed media masterpieces but the world premiere of the upcoming DC 1/6 comic-based figures truly stole the spotlight at Comic-Con this year. The never-before-seen prototypes of Superman, Batman, Harley Quinn, Catwoman and the Joker were all gloriously displayed around a hand-made industrial diorama that resembles the architecture of a weathered Gotham location. The sculpted portrait details on each one of the figures was truly remarkable and the fabric outfits on each character were flawlessly-tailored and looked incredible. Both Batman and Superman were sporting brand new heroic bucks that we have never seen before on a Sideshow 1/6 figure and will surely open doors for several other characters within the DC and GI Joe 1/6 collectible lines.

While release dates and prices were not disclosed to the public, it’s a sure bet that we should here more information about these in the coming months and it is very likely that one or two of these pieces should go up for pre-order before the end of the year. This is something that DC collectors have been wanting for a very long time and one can only imagine the potential for sixth scale dioramas in the near future that will offer collectors a universe of possibilities.
