With the San Diego Comic-Convention ever growing in size and scale, getting a booth inside the exhibition floors isn’t always necessary anymore. With so much of the “party” oozing outside of the convention center, more and more studios and companies are looking for other options. NBC Entertainment, for example have taken over the local Tin Fish eatery, disguising it as a fairy tale forest from the hit show GRIMM, entering its second season next month.
Besides ordering up some amazing fish & chips, Comic-Con attendees could get their arms branded with the GRIMM logo everyday. There’s also an enchanted forest walk through where guests can learn more about the beasts in this realistic fairy tale world. Guests can even enter Aunt Marie’s Trailer full of props direct from the show and take a souvenir bag for their belongings.
Also heavily promoted is the upcoming show REVOLUTION. The pilot directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man) tells the story of a future without any power. Anything man-made has turned into nature and it’s up to non-electric-based tools to carry out a typical day.
Both GRIMM and REVOLUTION also had respective panels at San Diego Comic-Con.
GRIMM premieres on NBC August 13.
REVOLUTION premieres on NBC September 17.
