    Hasbro finally pulled the curtains back on the third assortment of Marvel Legends this past weekend during their Marvel panel at the San Diego Comic-Con. While several images of the figures that make up the assortment have been hinted at or slightly revealed, fans finally got a full reveal of the additional characters that will be joining Blade, Punisher and US Agent. Those characters are Doctor Doom, Deadpool, Neo-Classic Iron Man, Moonstar and Mystique. Both the Moonstar and Mystique figures will share parts and will be available at a 50/50 ratio just like the Madame Mask and Madame Hydra figures from Wave 2. The Blade and Punisher figures will also re-use parts and be offered on the same blister package at a 50/50 ratio like the Thunderball and Piledriver figures and the previous assortment. Both Deadpool and Dr. Doom will feature color variants and are re-released figures but will feature a much better paint application, details and textures than their previous versions. Originally, Hasbro had only planned to release two Legends assortments in 2012 but due to how well the first two waves performed, they decided to give fans another bonus assortment which became Wave 3.

    Because of the last-minute decision to release a third wave, the assortment will not be part of the BAF program, but all the waves in 2013 will be... but with a slight modification. Next year’s Marvel Legend figures will shift BAF (build-a-figure) to BAM (build-a-mini-figure). The first of these smaller-scaled figures will be Hit Monkey which will be broken up into interconnecting parts that will each come with one of the figures in that assortment.

    The first 2013 Marvel Legends BAM assortment will consist of:

    * Red She-Hulk/Savage She-Hulk
    * Iron Fist
    * Protector
    * Sentry/Hyperion (50/50 ratio)
    * Archangel/Archangel (AOA Variant)
    * Ultimates Captain America
    * X-Force Wolverine

    Hasbro also offered fans a sneak peek at Wave 2 by revealing two figures that will be part of the assortment: Wrecker and long-requested Jean Grey. While not shown at the event, Hasbro did confirm that Bulldozer will be the 50/50 swappable figure for Wrecker which will complete entire Wrecking Crew for Legends. A new female buck was also revealed for Legends in the form of an upcoming Moonstone figure. And to top things off, Hasbro made the official announcement that the Iron Man 3 movie figures will be part of Marvel Legends in 2013 and will take part in the BAF program. Although only a partial image was shown, you could clearly see the scale of the BAF figure to be rather large.

    Re: SDCC12: Hasbro Marvel Legends

    I'm glad to see them throwing in some characters who've never been done before. Until now DC has been beating the hell out of Marvel on that score with TWO different manufacturers making just about every conceivable character.

    I still want:

    Attuma
    Lady Dorma
    The High Evolutionary
    The Enchantress & The Executioner
    Jarvis the Avengers butler
    Mr. Hyde
    Da Wrecker
    The Grim Reaper
    The Collector
    Queen of the Shi'ar (whose name I can't remember -- Illandra maybe?)
    Kree Supreme Intelligence BAF
    Kree Sentry Robot BAF
    Space Phantom
    Living Lazer (classic silver age look)
    Whirlwind
    Arkon
    Ulik
    Volstagg
    Hogun
    Jarella
    Pschlopp
    The Harpy
    Jocasta
    Mantis & The Swordsman
    Yellow Claw
    AIM guys
    Crystal & a Lockjaw BAF
    more Inhumans
    Mastermind
    Orca the Killer Whale
    The Puppet Master
    Odin
    The Countessa, agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
    the villains of Zodiac

    and so much more!

    And no, we do NOT need any more Wolverines or Spideys dammit!
    (unless maybe it's Wolvie as a Brood)
