Topps announces that a set of promotional MARS ATTACKS trading cards will be distributed exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con in July. This set of 9 free cards, featuring all-new art by Eisner award-winning artist John McCrea, is timed to coincide with the release of Mars Attacks Heritage, a deluxe re-issue of the original trading card series.

The giveaway will be the centerpiece of several events planned for San Diego Comic-Con, including a MARS ATTACKS 50th Anniversary panel on Saturday. To find the cards, fans must visit nine different booths throughout the convention. When all of the cards are collected they will form larger image which showcases characters from IDW's upcoming MARS ATTACKS ongoing comic book series by John Layman and McCrea.

The exclusive cards will be available throughout the weekend at the booths of Abrams Books, Diamond Comic Distributors, Funko, Gentle Giant Ltd, IDW Publishing, Mezco Toyz, Nerdist News via Legendary Pictures, Russ Walks & Wild Tempest and Toynk Toys. Supplies will be strictly limited, and are expected to go fast.
