Every year, ThinkGeek entertains its readers on April Fool's Day with hilarious made-up product. Some ideas, like the Star Wars Tauntaun Sleeping Bag, prove so popular with fans that they actually get made. This year was slightly different. Mixed in with the gag gifts was an actual new collectible for sale: The Star Trek Inflatable Captain's Chair.

Designed with wee geeks in mind, the officially licensed Star Trek Inflatable Captain's Chair supports those ages 3 to small adult (maximum weight of 120 lbs). The arms of the chair feature series-accurate representations of the buttons and controls available to Captain Kirk. When inflated, the chair measures approximately 27.75" high x 29.25" wide x 18" deep.

No joke about it, The Star Trek Inflatable Captain's Chair is available now for $24.99 at ThinkGeek.com.

    LOL, cool idea.

I wonder if they'll bring out a heavy-duty reinforced version for many of the Trek fans I see at cons who are um, weight-challenged, shall we say?
