With an office in Southern California, Kotobukiya has become a mainstay in local conventions over the last few years. For WonderCon 2012 the company brought a plethora of their newest and greatest products to sell and show off with a grand booth centrally located in the exhibit hall.

With a wall of chopsticks, a Star Wars display covered in ice cube trays, and towers of Bishoujo girls, there was plenty to look at... and that’s not even including the two display cases of new and upcoming products. On hand were all of the latest DC Bishoujo ladies plus character art for the next two: Power Girl and Harley Quinn. Likewise Marvel was in the game with lots of pretty ladies and artwork for the upcoming Storm. Star Wars fans had a whole case to enjoy with ARTFX, ARTFX+, chopsticks, and artwork for Jaina Solo from a new Star Wars Bishoujo line! Fine Art Statues on display included the latest Avengers trio, Gambit, Magneto, Archangel, Warpath, and the stunning Yoshimitsu. Additional art cards showed upcoming releases from Mass Effect, Tekken, and DC Comics.

In addition to the packed booth, Kotobukiya was one of the few toy companies with a full-fledged panel. Dan Lujan was on hand to preview everything on deck for 2012 (and a little for 2013) with a full slideshow. The previously announced YuYu Hakusho figures will be joined by fellow anime characters Kaiba Seto (Yu Gi Oh) and Vash and Wolfwood (Trigun). Star Wars will see a new Boba Fett (RotJ version) in the ARTFX+ line along with as yet undetermined Old Republic characters. Tekken continues with three more sexy ladies (and several color variants), while Street Fighter x Tekken joins the party for more Capcom goodness. Mass Effect 3’s Liara will be followed by Jane Shepard (artwork shown but no prototype yet). On the Marvel side, Koto is expanding the Avengers series with a classic Hawkeye Fine Art Statue, and a short video clip from Erick Sosa showed his progress on a new Venom that displays together with the upcoming Spider-Man. In Marvel Bishoujo the only reveal was that Lady Deadpool will be coming at some point, while in DC we’re going to see New 52 Justice League ARTFX+ statues (an early Superman prototype was shown), Dark Knight Rises, and Bishoujo ladies including Huntress!
