Square Enix's Play Arts Kai continues to impress video game fans with their state-of-the-art action figures. This exciting series continues to grow with the recent release of the new Kazuhira Miller figure from the PSP video game Metal Gear: Peace Walker. This marks the first non-Snake Metal Gear video game character so far in the Peace Walker assortment.

In terms of packaging, there isn't anything significantly different from the previous Metal Gear Kai releases. The figure comes packaged in the same window box that Snake came in. The back of the box also showcases the MIller figure in various poses.

The Kazuhira Miller figure is beautifully rendered in three-dimensional form from head to toe. Kazuhira's head sculpt is sculpted very well but does not look as good as Snake. Since I do not personally own a PSP, I have little to no knowledge of the story or characters in the Peace Walker game so I don’t know much about this guy. In my opinion, Miller is a bit boring in terms of his costume and overall look, but regardless of this, it is great to have another figure that you can display Snake with.

Kazuhira's blonde mullet and safari green hunter outfit with yellow scarf, make the character look a bit outdated and corny. Thankfully, the figure includes an interchangeable masked head just like the Battle Armor Snake figure (read our review of him HERE).

Miller does include a pair of removable sunglasses that can easily attach to his head and stay on firmly. The sculpted details on this figure are of the same high standard as all Play Arts Kai figures and highly articulated as well. The figure can be placed in a plethora of dynamic and realistic poses thanks to the innovation of the Play Arts Kai articulation system.

The paint applications on the figure are of very high quality and significantly enhance the overall look of the figure. A lot of attention was placed on the detailing of both head sculpts as the multi-color shading on Miller's face and airbrushed tones of his hair. The green outfit is also colored nicely with a nice level of airbrushed shading which gives the uniform a realistic fabric look to it.

Aside from the additional masked head, Miller also includes a pistol, machine gun and two sets of interchangeable hands. The pistol fits perfectly in the holster on his right side but the gun looks a bit too small for the figure's hands.

The machine gun is much better, however it's difficulat to pose Miller firing it with both hands as the articulation does not allow the arms to come fully across the front of the torso. Kazuhiro includes an open (relaxed) hand which is great for placing his sunglasses in his hand for alternative display options.

This great figure is available now for purchase from many of our fine sponsors for $49.99 and goes great with other Play Arts Kai Metal Gear figures. While this figure may have not sparked my interest as much, I am sure that many collectors who have played the game will identify better with this figure.
