Wacky Wobblers, POP! and new BLOX...

San Diego Comic-Con coverage brought to you by Tonner, Collectibles Insurance, and Big Bad Toy Store.

When it comes to showing at San Diego Comic-Con, Funko is all about selling exclusives. Everything on display is a show exclusive, Wacky Wobblers, POP!, and more all featuring variant Con-exclusive color schemes.

New Disney POP! (see our story HERE) was a one major attraction, the first limited edition run of vinyl figures making their debut at the event. The series included a 9-inch Metallic Buzz Lightyear and Metallic Maleficent ($50 each), as well as 3-inch Disney figures including a flocked Sully, glow-in-the-dark Mike Wazowski, metallic Mickey Mouse, and a blue Mr. Incredible (all $15 each).

Other popular Funko properties were offered as well, including a slew of Marvel and DC superheroes, Star Wars, Gremlins, new Street Fighter, and cool General Mills cereal characters.

While Funko's hallmark Wacky Wobblers were still being sold, the majority of product offered had shifted to Funko's adorable new POP! format - a popular stylized minifigure form. An all-new Funko format also debuted at Comic-Con called BLOX, "Vinyl With An Edge". These approximately 9-inch tall DC and General Mills' creations were flat - about a half-inch thick - and the verdict is still out whether I'm sold on the style. It's certainly different!
