DC Mez-Itz, South Park, Little Big Planet and Scott Pilgrim too...

Toy Fair 2011 coverage brought to you by the following fine sponsors: BigBadToyStore.com, Sekaido.com, and Collectibles Insurance.

The biggest reveal (literally) out of Mezco at Toy Fair was their upcoming Mega Scale ThunderCats Lion-O. Based on his look from the popular 80's cartoon, the 14-inch tall Lion-O will feature 7 points of articulation and pack a removable mystic Sword Of Omens. Look for it this July priced at around $34. Sadly, no other classic ThunderCats characters are planned for this towering figure license.

Other licenses on display at Toy Fair included:

* Little Big Planet - Sack Boy from the hit PS3 game was shown as numerous collectible figures. On display was Series - currently in stores - as well as a new Series 2 assortment slated for release this May. This wave will feature Sky, Sackboy w/ Chinese lion head hat, and Blue Denim Sackboy. A 9-inch tall blank Do-It-Youself Sackboy was also shown for release this year.

* Scott Pilgrim - Coming this April will be two 6 inch action figures of an animated Scott Pilgrim. Just like the comic and movie, each figure will feature unique attire and accessories.

* South Park - The eccentric cartoon characters return to Mezco as "South Park Classics" - each wave featuring memorable previous releases. Recently announced Series 2 (see our story HERE) was shown, as well as Series 3. Due out in October 2011, this assortment includes Mr. Hanky (from Series 2), Frozen Kenny (Series 3), and Motorcycle Cop Cartman (Series 3). South Park fans can also look forward to a Mini Figure Box Set (October), Deluxe Talking Mr. Hankey (October), and Deluxe Talking Cartman (July).

* DC Mez-Itz - Mezco is taking their recently acquired DC Comics license and running with it in 2011 with stylistic Mez-Itz figures in both 2 inch and 6 inch collectible sizes. A slew of characters was on display at Toy Fair including Wonder Woman, Superman, Green Lantern, Batman, and The Flash.
