It's official: Epic Games has set September 20, 2011 for the launch of their third and most anticipated sequel: GEARS OF WAR 3. Epic is expected to launch public beta testing soon for Gears of War 3, which players can gain access to by purchasing the "Epic Edition" of the first-person shooter Bulletstorm, in stores now.

Even better news is that NECA's new line of 7-inch scale Gears of War 3 action figures will release before the game. NECA's Head of Product Development, Randy Falk has informed me that fans can expect the new figures "in store by the first week of September." Expect a solid lineup to be announced soon.
