    * The Expendables Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy Combo Set: This holiday season, there's nothing better than bringing home the greatest high-speed, low drag, action-packed blockbuster man movie ever made: The Expendables. Starring a literal "who's who" of action stars including Slyvester Stallone, Jason Staham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Steve Austin, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Mickey Rourke and featuring cameos by Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger, the film is directed by none other than Sly himself and makes for one explosion-filled, action-packed, testosterone-filled orgy. No, there's no such thing as too many guns and, as my brother used to say, "you can never be too fit, too rich and too well armed."

    * Robocop Trilogy: Fans of the greatest cyborg to ever grace the big screen can now pick up not only the incredible 1987 sci-fi film original in beautiful hi-def, but also the two sequels that followed...and all in one beautifully packed slipcase too! So what if Robocop 3 didn't star Peter Weller? It featured Robocop fighting a damned cyborg ninja and was written by Frank Miller! What's not to love fan boy?

    * Alien Anthology: This beautifully packaged 6-disc set includes two versions of each of the four Alien films with hi-def picture and sound and more than enough special features to choke a queen alien. That's right, chalk full of over 60 hours of behind-the-scenes featurettes, still galleries, commentaries, interviews, and documentaries, this is the "must own" set for the dedicated sci-fi action/horror fan this season.

    * Back to the Future: 25th Anniversary Trilogy: Take a trip down memory lane in none other than a DeLorean driven by Michael J. Fox and experiance the film trilogy that reshaped time-travel on the big screen. This 3-disc set includes all three films in beautiful high definition as well loads of special features, interviews, production documentaries and more. It's never too late to get back in time and this is the perfect chance to catch up with Marty McFly and Doc Brown.

    * Avatar: Special Edition: So you're looking for the latest in CGI? So you're a fan of James Cameron? So you're not afraid of a 3 hour movie? So you're a hippy tree hugger who wants to save a planet and you don't mind battling a far superior and better armed military to do so? Well you've come to the right place! Return to Avatar and find yourself again within the mind-bending, shockingly beautiful and most successful film of all time. In this new edition, which includes never-before-seen bonus scenes and a number of new featurettes, you'll gain a better grasp of the overall story that is Avatar and find out what it truly means to sit still for 180+ minutes...

    BOOKS & COMICS

    * Walking Dead (Available in multiple TPBs and Compendium): So you've been watching the series on AMC and you're hooked? How about picking up the source material and getting the full story well before the second season hits your TV? Robert Kirkman's tale of dire straights makes for one of the most believable, heart-wrenching, gut-aching, limb-severing, head-smashing comics yet created. Whether you're a fan of horror and zombies or not, this epic tale of humanity makes for though-provoking reading and enjoyment.

    * Blackest Night: So you're not a fan of Green Lantern? You will be. With a live-action film starring Ryan Reynolds hitting theaters next summer, GL will soon be the comic hero everyone is talking about. And if you haven't picked up his comics lately, you should. Blackest Night is the latest, limited series follows the green ring-wearing warriors as they face a force of unbridled, furious power and emotion which seeks to decimate all life in the universe. When five new ring-wearing corps show up, the Green Lantern Corps knows it's got trouble...and that's just the beginning. Brilliantly written by Geoff Johns with art by Ivan Reis, the series continues to garner a fan following. So why aren't you reading it yet?

    * The Autumn Rain Trilogy by David J. Williams: We mentioned it in last year's Holiday Buyer's Guide when the first two books - The Mirrored Heavens and The Burning Skies - were both available and we're mentioning it again now that the final installment - The Machinery of Light - has been released. Williams' sci-fi thrill ride is complete thanks to this intense, final story which concludes the high-speed tale of Claire Haskell, a razor (ie - hacker) who finds herself on the wrong side of a world-wide war in which everyone wants what she's got and no one knows exactly what it is they're looking for. With tricks around every corner, bullets flying in every direction, armored troopers killing anything and everyone in their path and a space vessel which uses nukes for propulsion...well, let's just say the ending is a doozy.

    * Running Black by Patrick Todoroff: Currently available exclusively at Lulu.com, this exciting debut novel and self-published work of military sci-fi will instantly impress fans of near-future action and espionage. A diamond in the rough, the story follows Eshu International, a team of operators tasked with stealing the latest in nano-tech hardware and software. Set in a possibly and somewhat distressingly familiar future in which all is owned and run by corporations instead of governments, Running Black features an intriguing cast of characters (especially the trio of genetically-engineered combat clones named Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail), intense action (including the first chapter) and a unique worldview.

    * The Black Library's Horus Heresy's Series: So you're a fan of the non-stop war going on in the Warhammer 40K universe? Find out how it all began in this brilliantly written, award-winning, critically-acclaimed fan-favorite series. The betray that began it all is the theme of this on-going series of novels written by some of the best sci-fi writers today, including Dan Abnett, Graham McNeill, James Swallow, Mitchel Scanlon, Ben Counter and Aaron Dembski-Bowden. Set amidst the Emperium's civil war, the books featuring brutal tales of agonizing love, passionate fighting, steadfast loyalty, eternal damnation and more...all set in a universe a flame with bolter fire galore. The last three releases - A Thousand Sons by Grahm McNeill, Nemesis by James Swallow and The First Heretic by Aaron Dembski-Bowden - all made the New York Times' bestseller list.

    * Ballistic Publishing's Exotique 5 & 6: Featuring some of the most beautiful and impressive computer-generated artwork from around the world, these unique - and massive - coffee table books scream to be touched, flipped through, turned over and enjoyed again and again. Gracing the 200+ pages of each book are some impressive works of art, some recognizable, some not. Part of the yearly Exotique art book series by Ballistic, these latest books will impress whether you're a fan of sci-fi, fantasy, gaming, feminine beauty, nature, or anything and everything in between.

    VIDEO GAMES

    * God of War III: If you haven't yet picked this up, something is wrong with you. Released in March, this is one of the most critically-acclaimed games of 2010, making Kratos' return second only to the return of treasury yields this year. One of the most visually pleasing and awarding experiences on the PS3 with some of the most beautiful graphics to ever grace a HDTV, the age-old fun of hacking-n-slashing your way through waves of baddies while solving puzzles that both bewilder and amaze is second to none.

    * Halo: Reach: Bungie ends their involvement with the hit sci-fi series they created with a BANG. Literally. This game is truly "Combat Evolved," featuring tons of futuristic cool unlockable armors and amazing new armor abilities, such as high-flying jet packs and impenetrable "Armor Lock". The best entry in the series yet, Halo: Reach promises months of shoot 'em up fun in both mulitplay and new firefight modes.

    * Call of Duty: Black Ops: Fans of Modern Warfare 2 will find plenty to like about this new installment in the action series, now set during the Cold War. Imagine the most explosive action movie you have seen... on steroids. Black Ops pushes the envelope on first person shooters with a campaign mission that has you trodding through the jungles of Vietnam, to infiltrating remote missle bases in Cuba. While mind-blowing, the campaign - like MW2 - is brief. Luckily the game packs enough extras to keep you well entertained into 2011 and beyond, including addictive multiplay, an awesome retro coin-op video game, a "Zombies" survival mode, and even an exciting secret bonus: one of the first interactive computer games, 1980's ZORK!

    * Fallout: New Vegas: Tune in your Pip-Boy 3000 to your favorite 50's radio station and prepare to wander the post-apocalyptic wasteland in what promises 200+ hours of combat and exploration. With a new spaghetti western vibe, New Vegas engages the player with new gambling minigames, exciting new Perks and the tried-and-true V.A.T.S. battle system. Watching mutants, raiders and radiated animal life explode into a million bloody pieces never looked so good. If you loved last year's Fallout 3, New Vegas is just what the doctor ordered.

    * Fable III: Like Fallout: New Vegas, Fable III provides endless hours of entertainment as an explorer of a medieval world on the brink of technology. The game has you lead a revolution to overthrow the tyranical king, setting off a chain of events that will eventually see you as the new ruler. Action packed, witty and full of charm and moral decisions, Fable III raises the bar on engrossing fantasy video gaming. What will YOU do as the new king of Albion?

There you have it, some amazing holiday gift ideas for everyone on your list who - like us - enjoys robots, comics, dragons, cartoons, superheros and all things pop culture!

From our homes to yours, have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
