After 14 Spawn-heavy figure assortments, McFarlane's take on cybernetic animals came as a refreshing surprise. While labeled as a Spawn series, Techno Spawn had really nothing to do with the undead superhero or releated comic characters. These were highly armed and dangerous robotic creatures, pure and simple. I'm still not sure what critter Cyber Spawn was suppose to be; the figure looks more like a Japanese mech than an animal or even Spawn himself. Regardless, Cyber Spawn, along with the awesome robo-ape Code Red rank as two of my all-time favorite action figures. Seriously cool sci-fi character designs.
