It's no secret: San Diego Comic-Con has grown to epic proportions since its 1970 debut. Attendance is now well over 125,000, filling the San Diego Convention Center and surrounding hotels, to capicity. Because of this over-crowding issue, Comic-Con International has been debating moving Comic-Con to another city. Both Los Angeles and Anaheim have submitted bids to try to lure the convention.

For better or for worse, official word is now out that San Diego Comic-Con will be staying in San Diego... at least for the next five years. To accommodate Comic-Con's stay until 2015, plans are uunderway to expand the convention center.

What do you think about San Diego Comic-Con staying in San Diego? Voice your thoughts below! Personally, I'm all for it. I may be a liitle biased having been born and raised in San Diego, but honestly, what's not to love about the current location? The weather is spectacular. The Gaslamp Quarter, a stone's throw away from the Con, offers plenty of dining options and sights to see. I do hope more hotels are part of the expansion plan, but other than that, viva la San Diego Comic-Con!

Thumbs down Re: Comic-Con to Remain in San Diego

Did they even bother to explore other locations? This convention has the ability to bring an huge influx of money into the San Diego area. They've benefited from this for years. This convention should move around the country to spread the wealth around. Very disappointed in this.
