    RIP: Prototype Painter, Edward Wires

The toy industry mourns the loss of an amazing talent...

We have just received the sad news that toy prototype painter Edward Wires has passed away.

Having worked for such fan-favorite companies as Hasbro, DC Direct, Diamond Select Toys, Art Asylum, Bowen Designs, Toybiz and many others, Wires helped bring to life thousands of action figures and collectibles with his award-winning talent and pleasant personality.

Our hearts and prayers go out to his friends and family.

This is truly tragic - I'm seriously at a loss of words regarding what's happened...

I ran into Eddie at Comic Con last month and even though we'd not seen each other in nearly 2 years, we started chatting like we see each other every day. He was truly one of the kindest, most generous guys I'd ever met and he'll truly be missed by more people than anyone knows...

No doubt God has put him to work in heaven painting more masterpieces...
