    SDCC10: Mimoco's Mimobots

Fans flock booth for fun electronics and exclusives...

San Diego Comic-Con coverage brought to you by Collectibles Insurance, Big Bad Toy Store, Sekaido, and Monkey Depot.

Mimoco's brand of designer USB flash drives - the MIMOBOT - proved to be quite popular at Comic-Con as attendees came in droves to check them out and take one (or two) home. The SDCC Exclusives (pictured above) were the hottest sell, their limited edition size and flashy designs a drawing attraction. A favorite was Lobot, the fan favorite Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back character sporting a chrome dome and new "headphone-styled ears". Popping off the cap of this thumbdrive reveals a pretty hilarious look of an eyeless Lobot. Mute and blind? Poor Lobot.

Aside from exclusives, Mimoco had for sale their "new" collection of Core Series MIMOBOTS - colorful redecoed versions of the very first Mimoco drives (read our review HERE). Mimoco's Community-Designed drives were offered as well. These are MIMOBOTS designed by fans and voted into production by the fans. The series is a great nod to Mimoco's growing fanbase, allowing aspiring artists to get their talent out.

No new license reveals at Comic-Con, but we were told off record that BIG things are on the horizon; a hot property that is sure to excite many, many fans. Stay tuned!
