    SDCC10: Gears of War

New GoW 3 Marcus and Dom turn Gearheads...

San Diego Comic-Con coverage brought to you by Collectibles Insurance, Big Bad Toy Store, Sekaido, and Monkey Depot.

Gearheads turned at NECA's Comic-Con booth as the collectibles company unveiled the first two figures in their upcoming Gears of War 3 action figure line. These were stunning 2-up prototypes of Marcus Fenix (top) and Dominic "Dom" Santiago (below) both sporting a rugged new look and wicked Pendulum Wars Lancer. Slated for release with the game March/April 2011, the new 7-inch scale Gears of War 3 figures will feature a massive 37+ points of articulation - the most yet in a NECA action figure. NECA is eyeing Marcus for release in Wave 1 while Dom is planned to be included in Wave 2. The new Marcus and Dom figures were just a sneak peek of cool Gears of War things to come. Fans can expect new bad guys, new versions of Baird and Cole, and much, much more.

NECA also updated us on their plans for unreleased Gears of War figures. The Kantus, Skorge and Boomers will be released, though concrete plans on how have not yet been confirmed. An "Operation: Hollow Storm" box set was mentioned as one possibilty. Gearheads just need to hold tight a little bit longer... Gears of War action figure mania is about to get hot.
