For those that could not afford the stunning sci-fi 1:1 scale District 9 weapons offered earlier in the year, WETA has a solution. Presenting the new District 9 Miniature Guns Collection, the awesomeness of the movie's alien weaponry captured in a 1/4 scale.

The first release is the Prawn Assault Rifle. This intricately detailed replica is cast in solid white metal, weighing in at 2.6lbs. The weapon measures 10.2 inches long and features a display base to proudly show off your alien tech. (Dimensions and weight are for gun on stand.)

Pre-orders are currently being accepted at wetanz.com, the 1/4th scale Assault Rifle priced at $99 US and scheduled to arrive 4th quarter 2010.
