The biggest event in comics right now is undoubtedly DC's Blackest Night. This storyline was a long time coming, originating in the 1986 Tales of the Green Lantern Corps Annual #2. In recent years the Green Lantern franchise has been building to this point, starting with the revelations of other Lantern Corps devoted to the other colors in the emotional spectrum. The second such group burst onto the scene in 2006, the yellow Sinestro Corps! Feeding off of the fear in the universe, the Sinestro Corps does whatever its leader and namesake commands, wreaking havoc during the Sinestro Corps War.

Spilling across this universe and the parallel anti-matter one, the Sinestro Corps War pitted the newly minted yellow Lanterns against the familiar Green Lanterns and their allies. One of Sinestro's most powerful allies was the avatar of fear itself, Parallax. Less effective on its own, the entity took control of a second Green Lantern host, this time Kyle Rayner. Meanwhile, the Green Lanterns consolidated their own power with veteran leaders like John Stewart.

The Sinestro Corps Three Pack is among several brand new Infinite Heroes sets showing up on store shelves right now.
