Captain Action Announces 2nd Annual Custom Action Figure Contest at Comic-Con

The "Ultimate Cosplayer" Continues Tradition by "Bringing Out The Bad"...

Captain Action Enterprises, licensors of the Captain Action line, announce the 2nd Annual Captain Action 1/6th scale Custom Action Figure Contest, to be held during an "American Idol" style judging panel at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.

This year’s contest will focus on the villains of comics & geek culture and is subtitled Bring On The Bad Guys.

Several entries to this year’s custom action figure contest, as well as new Captain Action products and exclusives, will be available for viewing at the Atomic Toybox Entertainment booth featuring Captain Action. It will be booth #3921 on the Comic-Con convention floor.

The Contest Finale is scheduled for a panel during San Diego Comic-Con at a time and room to be announced soon.

An All-Star Panel of Judges will review the custom figure entries and select the winners. Evaluations will be judged upon creativity, craftsmanship, originality and professionalism. Judges include:

• J. C. Vaughn, Vice President, The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide
• Daniel (Julius Marx) Pickett, Action Figure Insider
• Michael Polis, Atomic Toybox Entertainment, Wildbrain and Yo Gabba Gabba
• Michael Crawford, Captain Toy, MWC Toys

An update on the Captain Action Animated Series, a celebration of Captain Action’s appearance on the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide cover and several new product announcements will prelude the judging.
