Kotobukiya made several exciting announcements at Toy Fair regarding their DC Comics license. First off, the New 52 will be represented as a new series of ArtFX+ statues. Similar to their impressive Star Wars series, the smaller 7-inch tall figures (1/10th scale) will launch with Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. The New 52 ArtFX+ series will all come fully assembled.
On the larger ArtFX statue side, a new Jim Lee designed Batman Black Costume Version will be offered this summer (SRP $99). Koto also holds the license for the Dark Knight Rises and will be releasing an ArtFX Batman statue (pictured above). The piece on display at Toy Fair was a prototype, the final version to have a illuminating Bat Logo base. Look for it third quarter 2012, pricing TBD. Also announced was a Dark Knight Returns ArtFX statue based on the art of Frank Miller. Look for it third quarter 2012 as well.
