New Titanfall, Plants Vs. Zombies, and Super Mario...
K'NEX is a company that we haven't covered in the past, but their recent acquisition of multiple video game licenses has drawn our attention. Topping that list is Respawn Entertainment's upcoming future shooter, Titanfall. With the game in player's hands early March, fans can get excited knowing that numerous construction sets will begin hitting shelves this July. On display were the two warring factions of the game - the Marauder Corps (M-COR) and Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) - represented as numerous playsets. These ranged in size and complexity, and included both the pilots and their mechs, or titans: the Atlas (above left) and Ogre (above right).
Sets on display included:
- Angel City Escape
- IMC Atlas Titan
- M-COR Pilot Attack
- IMC Pilot Strike
- M-COR Ogre
- Ultimate Angel City Campaign
The hit mobile game, soon-to-be cooperative third-person shooter, Plants Vs. Zombies is another new K'NEX property. Expect numerous build sets and blind-bagged mystery figures (HERE) this Fall.
Sets on display included:
- Wild West Skirmish
- Conehead Mech
- Jetpack Zombie Attack
- Wall-nut Bowling
- Pirate Ship
- Pirate Seas Plank Walk
Nintendo's popular Super Mario characters will continue to receive K'NEX support in 2014 with numerous new playsets, minifgure 2-packs and blind-bagged figures. The latter will star several new characters and a couple returning favorites, including Mario, Luigi, Toady (green), Donkey Kong, Bowser Jr., Bob-omb and Waluigi.
