TF13: Metal Gear Solid Play Arts Kai
Square Enix Reveals Two New Characters...
Toy Fair revealed that Square Enix's Metal Gear Solid Play Arts Kai series is still going strong. Featuring a more robust 10-inch scale, the series has been seeing the release of old fan favorites such as Solid Snake, Cyborg Ninja, Meryl Silverburgh and the soon-to-be-released Solidus Snake. New on display at Toy Fair was Raiden as he appeared in MGS2 (with alternate gas mask head) and Liquid Snake from MGS (packing a huge bazooka). An exact release date for these new figures has not yet been decided on, but it'll be sometime later this year.
Also shown at Toy Fair was the now cybernetic ninja Raiden from the recently released video game Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. This slick figure is slated to hit North American retail this April. The following color schemes are available for Raiden: Black (standard release), White (UK and Japanese Exclusive), Red (PX Exclusive), and two new colors have just been announced (exclusiveness unknown): Gray and Blue.
