Mezco Acquires License For THE STRAIN
Figures, Bobble Heads, Coins, More...
Mezco Toyz announces a new line of collectibles based on FX's new series The Strain.
The Strain is a high concept thriller from co-creators, Executive Producers and Writers Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan and Executive Producer/Showrunner Carlton Cuse. The series tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather, the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City (home of Mezco headquarters). Goodweather and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph, his team, and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers, wage war for the fate of humanity itself. The Strain airs Sundays at 10:00 pm ET/PT only on FX.
Mezco has acquired rights to produce Strain figures in an assortment of scales, Living Dead Dolls, plush items, bobble heads, and more.
Mezco will also be offering the first-ever collectible coins for The Strain at San Diego Comic-Con beginning on July 23th (pictured above). The limited edition collectible features the series logo on the front and the biohazard symbol, as seen in the series, on the reverse.
Only 300 of these limited edition coins exist, and they are available exclusively at the Mezco Toyz booth 3445 and at mezcotoyz.com priced at $20 each, while supplies last.
