High-end movie prop replicas are nothing new, but those pulled from the world of video games are. Enter TriForce, whose replicas pulled from triple-A titles such as Gears of War 3, Mass Effect 3 and Batman: Arkham City show just how far gaming has come in terms of realistic graphics and global popularity. On display at Comic-Con was TriForce's latest offerings - a broad sampling of the games mentioned above. For Gears, the Locust Hammerburst 2 awed with two versions currently up for pre-order through projecttriforce.com: a 35 pound resin replica fully painted up as if it came off the battlefield ($212.50) and a more flashy 100 piece limited edition in gold ($225). Look for the perfect companion piece to TriForce's COG Lancer to ship first quarter 2013.
The follow-up to TriForce's Mass Effect 3 M-8 Avenger Assault Rifle (see our story HERE) arrives later this year in the form of the M-3 Predator. This futuristic pistol is limited to 600 pieces worldwide and like the Hammerburst 2, features cool light-up LEDs.
Announced prior to Comic-Con (see HERE) was TriForce's newest video game license: Batman: Arkham City. On display was the amazing Batarang Full Scale Replica (LE 750) and Riddler Trophy Full Scale Replica. The latter came in green (LE 440) and a limited 100 piece show exclusive Catwoman pink, while the former dropped jaws with a detachable Batarang and working spotlights. Look for all three later this year.
