After months of anticipation, The Bridge Direct has at long last provided a first look at their new series of action figures based on the 2-part motion picture event, The Hobbit. As master toy licensee for both films, The Bridge Direct will be releasing this October a full toy line, starting with action figures, role play accessories, a more based on the first movie, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hitting theaters December 14, 2012. Fans can expect even more collectibles next year, as the second film, The Hobbit: There and Back Again, is slated for release beginning December 13, 2013.
To debut the new series, The Bridge Direct will be offering a San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive Bilbo Baggins. The limited edition 6-inch scale figure presents the title character from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in his “invisible” state while wearing the Ring, which he holds in his hand. Available only at San Diego Comic-Con 2012, this detailed transparent figure will be presented in a numbered collector's edition box limited to only 3000 pieces. Grab yours priced at $25 at Entertainment Earth's booth #2343 and at Gentle Giant's booth #3513, the latter to also have on display The Bridge Direct's other Hobbit figures.
