TF2 Characters Shrunk Down As Portable Mercs, Plus Balloonicorn...
In addition to its cool line of HALO items on the way (read our story HERE), A Crowded Coop is tackling another classic video game license with products celebrating Team Fortress 2! But while they delved deeply into bags, keychains, and the like for HALO the TF2 display at New York Toy Fair was pure toy goodness. Players and fans everywhere are going to be very excited by the Coop's blind box vinyl figure line that captures the unique characters from the game in a silly and cute new style (especially that adorable Pyro). Called the Portable Mercs, this collection will feature figures with appropriate accessories and even a Sentry Gun that comes with a blueprint on real architectural paper! Of course, being a Team Fortress 2 product there will be Easter Eggs... so you'll have to buy a bunch and see what you find. These Valve-approved designs will be hitting stores in Summer with Series 1 consisting of the nine classes plus the Sentry packaged in blind "warehouse crates." And if this line does well A Crowded Coop is looking at Series 2, spinoff lines, larger figures, DIY versions, etc. Also shown at Toy Fair was the vinyl Balloonicorn, coming in April for $19.95!
