NECA recently made a surprise announcment regarding two new exclusives they will be offering fans at San Diego Comic-Con. These include:
* The Walking Dead SDCC Exclusive Deer Eating Zombie Mini Bust - pictured above - This ghoulsih sculpture from the hit AMC series stands 6.5-inches tall. It will be limited to 1200 pieces and will retail for $50. Includes a Certificate of Authenticity signed by SFX artist Greg Nicotero.
* Gears of War 3 SDCC Exclusive Thrashball Cole Statue (Bronze Finish) - pictured below - This nearly 13-inch tall statue of the "Cole Train" will be strictly liited to only 100 pieces and will retail for $100 at the show. A full color version of this statue will release closer to the game this September.
Re: Two New Comic-Con Exclusives Announced
Thrashball only limited to 100 pieces?! An exclusive that lives up to it's name, that's what I like to see. Probably won't have a chance to get the 'bronze edition' but I much prefer the full colour one anyway. I just don't like all these gold, bronze or platinum paint jobs. :)
Re: Two New Comic-Con Exclusives Announced
Ah I was wondering when NECA was going to announce their final exclusives.
The Gears is a pass for me as I don't collect statues, much less ones that are one stupid color. I may get the Walking Dead bust if I have money left over at the end of the show.
While I'm not particularly thrilled about these announcements I will give NECA points for creativity by taking the non-cliched route. The last few years have been nothing but 7" figure exclusives so it's nice to see them spicing it up a bit.
