Triad Toys, best known for their selection of 1/6 scale action figures and accessories, is branching out into 1/4 scale statues. As revealed at Toy Fair, their first entry in the new M|X Format,as this line is being called, will be Heihachi from the popular fighting game Tekken 6. The only character to appear in every Tekken game, Heihachi debuts the Triad Toys M|X Format figure line with game-accurate hand-tailored clothing and a custom embroidered coat. Each piece is individually hand-painted; hand-weathered and finished.
Each Tekken 6: Heihachi M|X Format figure also comes with an exclusive acrylic glass display base. Constructed of durable acrylic glass, the base rests atop felt covered full metal risers to give you that distinctive museum quality display.
Limited edition of only 300 pieces sold worldwide, the Heihachi M|X Format figure is currently up for pre-order at TriadToys.com priced at $239.99. It is expected to ship second quarter 2010.

I've had some readers ask if other Tekken statues are planned, specifically Jin Kazama. Triad reveals:

Jin is one of the figures we have started working on. Along with some characters from Namco's other game Soul Caliber, like Ivy. We are pretty much going to focus on a lot of the characters that we feel would be better represented in statue form rather than figures. There are just some things that would translate better to statue than figure like Ivy for example because of her crazy outfit and weapons.
