Sideshow Star Wars 1:6 Scale Rebel Fleet Trooper

The Rebel Alliance's finest joins the ranks...

To order your own 1:6 Scale Rebel Fleet Trooper or other great Star Wars Collectibles, visit Sideshow Collectibles!

Sideshow Collectibles diverse 1:6 scale Star Wars line continues to grow, with another addition to the recently focused upon segment "Militaries of Star Wars". While it was intended for the Rebel Fleet Trooper to be another uniformed soldier that fans could freely army-build, Sideshow chose to base the sculpt on a more identifiable character during the iconic Blockage Runner scene instead of a nondescript soldier. The sculpt is based on the character know as Lieutenant Pello Scrumbas, a face seen close-up repeatedly throughout the attack. While the character has been given a back-story in the expanded universe, his life ends defending Leia and the stolen Death Star plans. He is now immortalized as part of the ongoing 1:6 Star Wars line.

PACKAGING: The packaging for this figure is the same packaging that Sideshow uses with all of their 1:6 Scale Star Wars figures. It is a very simple black and gray color scheme that looks much more classy then the previous design. The sides feature product photos and the back has several movie images. The packaging opens up by a flap on the side (held by magnets), and includes two windows showing the figure and it’s accessories. There is a bio on the character on the inside as well. I love this style packaging due to the ease of removing and replacing the piece through non-taped, top opening flaps.

SCULPT & ARTICULATION: Sideshow does a great job of capturing the aged and focused face of the uncredited actor playing the recognizable trooper. The small nuances of his face are all present, such as the wrinkled features, bushy eyebrows, and determined expression. The figure features the basic Art S. Buck male body with 30+ points of articulation, plenty of movement to create a variety of poses and kneeling positions to mimic scenes from the movie.

PAINT: Pello features very basic paint apps, as the only paint applications are present on his head. Care was taken to given his face some light color to accentuate the small details and the paint on his eyes is perfect. His hair and eyebrows have several colors blended together to create texture and layers and add to their scruffy look.

CLOTHING & ACCESSORIES: The soldier is decked out in a very basic uniform the captures the look of the film costume pretty well. The clothing consists of a shirt, pants, vest, boots, and belt with holster. Everything is put to together cleanly and sewn without any defects or loose threads. Lt. Scrumbas includes very few accessories that include a blaster, two extra hands, a display base, and the signature helmet. The helmet is made of a very lightweight plastic, but looks great on the figure with the long antennae and chin guard with elastic band.

OVERALL: The Rebel Fleet Trooper is a must-have for any Star Wars fan as he hails from one of the most memorable scenes from the original Star Wars Trilogy. The 1/6 Scale Rebel Fleet Trooper is still in-stock and available now for $69.99 from Sideshow Collectibles.
