    I am so glad that they'll be doing "classic" POTA figs at the same time cuz these new Apes just look like figs of boring monkeys to me and really don't appeal to me at all.

    I have to agree. While I thought Rise of the Planet of the Apes was an excellent film and I look forward to Dawn, the apes just don't make interesting figures. They appear, as you pointed out, just like regular ol' apes (though the included weapons and tribal facepaint makes them somewhat unique). I dunno, they just don't hold the same charm (and nostalgia!) as the original movie monkeys to me.
