Thinkway Toys has been awarded the master global toy license for Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment's motion-picture Despicable Me 2, which arrives in theaters on July 3, 2013.

Thinkway Toys will develop a wide variety of toys featuring the Minions and other key characters including interactive toys, figures, plush, dolls, playsets, vehicles, role play and novelty items. Products will be available on shelves in summer 2013.

This is great news for those disappointed with the limited product released for the first movie (read: only plush). With Thinkway Toys' outstanding job on authentic Toy Story collectibles, items from Despicable Me 2 should be top notch.
