There's no doubt Quentin Tarantino is one of this generation's finest film makers. Having written and directed some of the most critically-acclaimed, fan-favorite films of the 1990's and early 2000's, Tarantino continues to bring to life intriguing stories and amazing characters. Two of Tarantino's fan-favorite films - Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown - recently hit hi-def home video and fans of the writer/director's work won't want to miss either.

The 1994 film Pulp Fiction made "Tarantino" a household name and brought Travolta back into the modern age of film, helping us all remember what it was like to truly enjoy the cinema. Featuring a roll call of brilliant characters brought to life by a talented cast, intense action that's both hilarious and shocking, brilliantly scripted dialogue that's sharp and witty, and dynamic editing that helps tell a unique story, Pulp Fiction is one of the few films that demands repeated screenings often.

Featuring a 1080p hi-def video in the film's original 2.35:1 aspect ratio with an impressive 5.1 English DTS-HD audio track, the video and audio brings the story of Vincent Vega, Jules Winnfield, Pumpkin, Honey Bunny, Butch Coolidge, and Marsellus & Mia Wallace to the screen in gorgeous hi-def. The neon signs are eye-catching and the blood visceral; heck, all of the colors all bright and bold throughout. Likewise, the audio is hard hitting and dynamic, filling speakers with a gorgeous collection of sound effects and a fan-favorite soundtrack, which features Dick Dale's "Misirlou", Kool & the Gang's "Jungle Boogie", Dusty Springfield's version of "Son of a Preacher Man", the Statler Brothers' "Flowers on the Wall" and "Bustin' Surfboards" by The Tornadoes among others.

For die-hard fans, the disc includes a plethora of special features, including a 40+ minute featurette "Not the Usual Mindless Boring Getting to Know You Chit Chat", which is an all new retrospect featuring in-depth interviews with cast and characters talking about Pulp Fiction both now and then; a 20+ minute "Here are Some Facts on the Fiction" featuring a critic's roundtable discussing the film's influence on modern cinema; and the 30+ minute "Pulp Fiction: The Facts - Documentary" featuring a number of 2001 interviews and info on the film's production.

Additional special features include a 6-minute Production Design featurette with David Wasco, Production Designer, and Sandy Reynolds-Wasco, Set Designer; "Siskel & Ebert At the Movies: The Tarantino Generation", a 16-minute look at the writer/director; and a 10+ minute interview with Tarantino done by Michael Moore at the Independent Spirit Awards; the acceptance speech at Cannes Film Festival; and a 55 minute episode of the Charlie Rose Show featuring an interview with Tarantino.

Other special features include over 20+ minutes of deleted scenes, two Behind the Scenes Montages, and a large marketing gallery featuring everything from the film's theatrical trailer, a variety of international trailers, event spots, posters, trade ads, and a still gallery. Lastly, an enhanced trivia track that'll engage fans.

For those who've been waiting for Pulp Fiction in hi-def, the time is now to pick it up. Pulp Fiction is the type of film you wish every film could be - gorgeous to watch, amazing to listen to, and filled with impressive characters starring a talented cast playing parts in an awesome story.

Pulp Fiction is available now on blu-ray hi-def wherever fine home video is sold.
