    WonderCon 2012

Cool sci-fi properties make QMx a big hit with fans...

Quantum Mechanix (QMx) has become one of the go-to destinations for high quality figures, replicas, and just plain interesting items and art from the coolest science-fiction properties around. On hand at WonderCon, QMx showed off some of their newest products as well as one of their most famous: the film-quality U.S.S. Enterprise. The company’s list of licenses is a veritable Who’s Who of ultra-popular franchises including Doctor Who, Stargate, Firefly/Serenity, Warehouse 13, Battlestar Galactica, Dr. Horrible, Star Trek, and more.

To celebrate and show off at WonderCon, the mad geniuses at QMx had two walls covered by various posters and blueprints, while display cases held everything from maquettes to steins, pins, shirts, badges, stickers, hats, badges, and more. Of particular note were the incredibly detailed prototypes of Doctor Who Weeping Angels and Dalek, and the Battlestar Galactica plush Viper and Cylon Raider! I even got a chance to speak with Quantum Mechanix’ own Senior Designer “Hawk” Haque who has designed tons of QMx maquettes and other items and is currently working on the plushes. If you’re interested in seeing them finished and available let the company know!
