Toy Crowd's CYBER NINJA (2001) What's better than a ninja? A cybernetic one! It's fun B-Movie fare with cheesy SFX (ie: Godzilla and Power Rangers), but it did star some some slick futuristic character designs. Like any "good" B-Movie, Cyber Ninja has a following; a group overseas toy maker Toy Crowd aimed to tap with their Cyber Ninja action figures. Americans, like myself, were introduced to these figures by Toycom, and while I had no idea what Cyber Ninja was (I later rented it), I was blown away by these cool looking toys. On par with some of the best sculpting today, the Cyber Ninja action figures are visually stunning, but limited in movement. As display pieces they hold a solid spot in my sci-fi toy collection.
