    TF2011 - Futurama

The future's so bright, gotta wear shades...

Toy Fair 2011 coverage brought to you by the following fine sponsors: BigBadToyStore.com, Sekaido.com, and Collectibles Insurance.

Toynami had a pleasant surprise for Futurama fans at their Toy Fair booth this year. Starting this May, collectors will be treated to an all-new series that introduces characters of the Robot Mafia. Futurama Series 10 will feature Clamps and Joey Mousepod, while Futurama Series 11, slated for September, will include Flexo and The Don Bot. Each of these assortments will carry an SRP of $13.99 per figure. The bonus Build-A-Bot incentive has been removed from these waves to allow more freedom for fans to pick and choose which characters they want, but collectors of the larger Futurama figures have not been forgotten. Toynami had on display deluxe Futurama figures of Morbo and Lrrr, both scheduled for release this Spring. Pricing has not been set in stone, but expect to pay around $20 for Morbo and around $30 for Lrrr due to his larger, in-scale size. A hulking figure of Destructor was also shown, though concrete details on his potential release have not yet been decided.

Other new Futurama items on display included an adorable plush assortment consisting of Nibbler, Bender and Doctor Zoidberg, as well as a collectible super-deformed trio of mini-figures called Tineez which will include Robot Devil, Zoidberg and Bender.

Arguably the coolest new Futurama collectible was a Deluxe Talking Bender. Coming this winter at a price TBD, the charming robot will feature interchangeable eye expressions and utter a plethora of authentic Futurama quotes. We recorded his hilarious dialog for you check it out above!
