TF2011 - Ghostbusters, Star Wars, More!

Cell phones cases, keychains and plush from all your favorite movies...

Toy Fair 2011 coverage brought to you by the following fine sponsors: BigBadToyStore.com, Sekaido.com, and Collectibles Insurance.

Sadly, the biggest news from Underground Toys - new Doctor Who product - was kept behind closed doors and we were held to our sworn oath not to discuss what we saw until a later date. That's not to say Underground didn't have some other cool stuff to show us, including new items from Star Wars and their newly acquire Ghostbusters license!

The former has grown to galactic proportions in terms of plush collectibles, with characters from both the Saga and Clone Wars animated series. From keychains, 4", 9" and jumbo plush sizes, the Force is strong with this adorable series. New on the Star Wars front was an assortment of iPhone snap cases featuring gorgeous art of Yoda, Vader, a Clone Trooper and Princess Leia (in slave attire, no less!). These are just now shipping and look to be a great way to standout in the boring sea of cell phones.

Speaking of iPhone cases, Underground did allow one new Who item to be photographed: Doctor Who snap cases. One featured the TARDIS while the other donned the deadly Daleks.

A personal favorite of mine at the show was a new series of Ghostbusters product. On display was a squeezable Stay Puft plush that played the Ghostbusters theme song, mini plush Stay Puft clip-ons, an Ecto-1 keychain and various novelty items like mugs and cuff links.
