The Dog Ate My Comic Art

No claim is too strange for Collectibles Insurance Services to handle...

Collectibles Insurance Services just settled a claim where a dog licked a comic art painting! Apparently the artist adds egg yolks to his paint to serve as a binder and add depth to the colors. The dealer put the consigned painting in his home office and the dog decided he wanted some eggs.

This is not the first time either... A few years back Collectibles Insurance had a similar claim where a dog drooled on the item and it sustained water (drool) damage. There are also many instances of cats gone wild and knocking things over.
