The 63" by 34" model created out of 20,000 LEGO bricks is just one of many new models and scenes being added to LEGO Star Wars Miniland launching March 29 at LEGOLAND California Resort. Master Model Builder, Gary McIntire, un-wrapped the never-before-seen Opee sea killer and began assembling the menacing fish that is featured in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, chasing Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn and Jar Jar Binks as they navigate through the waters of Naboo in their tri-bubble bongo submarine. In LEGO Star Wars Miniland, Guests can enjoy news scenes from the six live-action Star Wars movies, as well as one from the animated series Star Wars: THE CLONE WARS all made out of more than 1.5 million LEGO bricks and built in 1:20 scale. On March 29, for the first time, guests will be further immersed into the Star Wars experience as they walk through LEGO Star Wars Gallery encountering large-scale LEGO minifigures from each episode. Each LEGO model will be 3-feet-tall and displayed on a podium for guests to get an up-close look.
