    TF12 - Game of Thrones

Mass Effect, Snoopy, and Trolls too...

To insure your action figure collection, get in touch with Collectibles Insurance, the official insurance company of the Figures.com network. Say "Figures.com" to get 5% off your first term premiums.

    To buy action figures, take a look at BigBadToyStore.com, RedfordFilms.com, PastGenerationToys.com, BriansToys.com, ToyWiz.com, SmallJoes.com, MonkeyDepot.com, and Urban-Collector.com.

Dark Horse's Toy Fair booth displayed a number of properties, including Bioware's hit games Mass Effect and Dragon Age, Snoopy and their recently acquired Game of Thrones license (see our story HERE).

For Mass Effect, an exciting new Reaper replica ship was shown. Due out this summer with pricing TBD, the Reaper follows the release of the starship Normandy (three versions). For cos-players and collectors, Mass Effect patches are also slated for release. For Dragon Age II, the mini-statue of the dragon Flemeth is scheduled to finally see release this June priced at $49.99.

Dark Horse's larger Snoopy vinyl figures did so well that the classic pooch will see a re-release as smaller 5.5 inch flocked vinyl figures. Release and pricing to be decided.

Speaking of classic vinyl, the Trolls will be returning as a collectible blind-boxed assortment. A HUGE toy fad in the mid-sixties, the Troll doll has seen continued spurts of success all the way through the '70s, '80s and '90s. It makes more than complete sense that Dark Horse brings the Troll back to mark the 2000s. Look for the Trolls - in a wide variety of colors - to drop this June.

HBO's hit fantasy series Game of Thrones was represented with a gorgeous bust of Daenerys. Sculpted by Gentle Giant, the resin piece is slated to ship this June. BigBadToyStore.com is currently accepting pre-orders, the bust priced at $99. Other Game of Thrones items on display included a wide array of coasters, mugs, patches, and more featuring characters and sigils from the kingdom's noble families. As for anticipated Game of Thrones action figures, none were on display. Dark Horse told us that they are taking their time to make sure the figures are done right. Dark Horse is eyeing Gentle Giant to sculpt and design these.
