Way before the extensive "Clone Wars" line found on shelves now, Hasbro released figures based on the first animated series. The new animated Star Wars show is great, featuring interesting stories and cool state-of-the-art CGI. That CGI, unfortunatley, doesn't translate too well on the figures; the new toys looking like slightly softer versions of the Saga releases. However, the first series of Clone Wars toys released back in 2005 were far more "animated" - more cartoon-like, if you will. It gave the toy line a very distinctive look, one that really appealed to this collector.
