One of the biggest dilemmas when it comes to action figure collecting is standing up your figures. We’ve all had these issues. First, some figures just won’t stand up by themselves no matter what you do. Then, there are figures that can stand up on their own, but they don’t really look all that good doing so. Because of the character or personality you want that figure posed in a cool action move, but there’s no way it’s going to work without help. And that’s where Smalljoes.com’s “Modern” Action Figure Stands come in!

Specially designed for current 3 ¾ inch figure lines, these stands are outfitted with four pegs sized to fit into 0.1” (2.5mm) foot holes. The bases are 2.57 inches long and 1.735 inches wide, with a 0.13 inch high platform. They’re available in either solid black or clear plastic according to your preferences, and are sold in lots of 20, 100, or 500.

The exact fit of specific figures will vary, but the range of characters that will work on these stands is tremendous. Designed first for GI Joe figures starting with the 25th Anniversary collection, they will also work perfectly for Star Wars, Marvel Universe and Iron Man, DC Infinite Heroes, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, Terminator, Storm Hawks, Ben 10, and many more!

Even better is how they encourage poseability. How many times have you tried to give a figure a cool action pose, only to find out there’s no way it will balance in that position? And even then, most figure stands have one or two pegs at the most, limiting how helpful they are in any poses except for standing straight up. The Smalljoes stands really free you up for creativity and fun in your poses with their four peg configuration. Each stand has two pairs of pegs, closer together in the one nearest to the edge, and farther apart for the pair toward the center of the stand. The four peg system offers a tremendous amount of freedom for standing your figures, whether you utilize just one peg to anchor an action pose or two pegs - for troops at attention (close) or cool martial arts stances (wider). Even figures with large feet can easily be accommodated by the peg closest to the center of the base. Stands come randomly assorted (in roughly 50/50 mix) with the pegs aligned toward the left or right side of the stand.

These stands are very useful and yet slim and unobtrusive, keeping the focus on the figures rather than what they’re standing on. They even work great with Smalljoes.com’s other products like the APEX Action Figure Display Case (read our review HERE).
