Cubix: Robots For Everyone was one of those animated TV series that refused to catch fire with an audience. The premise of using unique, colorful robots as characters had all the makings of hit series, but it just wasn't meant to be. Perhaps the power of Pokemon overshadowed it? Regardless, Trendmasters' attempt to cash in early on Cubix's popularity in 2001 backfired with the toyline quickly fading into obscurity. Sadly, just one year later, Trendmasters closed its doors for good. While Cubix's failure isn't solely to blame for Trendmasters' demise, it certainly didn't help matters any.
