Can't tell from the pics, but was anyone able to see if they fixed Thane's eyes? Really psyched for those Mass Effect figures, series 2 sounds even better!

Yeah - disappointing on the Kratos. Sad really...

I'd buy a small plastic statue of Kratos if it was as well sculpted and detailed as the WOW figures have been, but then again, I'm one of those fans who likes fixed-posed figures as articulation on a 7" figure doesn't really matter to me as much as a good sculpt.

Great news on the StarCraft II figuers - I can't wait to see the Terran Marine - if it's the same style as the Sideshow statue (below) but 7" and articulated, I'm sold! Gonna build me an army!!

Dang, I was hoping against hope that they would try to at the very least rival NECA's GOW figure. I think there's a reason the WoW figures stay piled up at my local TRU, fans are really rejecting the old McFarlane-style plastic statues. If I wanted a Kratos statue, I'd go to BBTS and buy a really high quality one. I go to the toy store to buy a toy. It's amazing what NECA did with two cut joints and ball ankles on the first one, can't even go that far with a DC figure?

Re: TF2010: New Video Game Action Figures

I'm also excited to see what they do with Starcraft - some great designs there and I still think the Sideshow PF figure of the Terran Marine is the pinnacle of Starcraft awesomeness - maybe we'll get some mini-versions of something like that??
Dude, the Terran Marine DC revealed is beyond awesome - same wicked armor design as the Sideshow statue. By all appearances, this approx. 7-inch figure looked to be fully articulated. Where the other two were sculpted in dynamic poses with a base, etc (like WoW), the Marine had his arms down by his side clutching his HUGE assault rifle. Obvious cuts for joints too. Killzone 2 figs are gonna be awesome as well. I picked up a Resistance 2 fig (Steelhead) in NY and I am very impressed on how they turned out - so I'd say these video game licenses (aside from the static-looking Kratos and loooooooooong awaited release dates) are in safe hands. No word on Uncharted 2, but I am sure it is on their radar.

Re: Company Reveals NEW Video Game-Based Products

Were there any indications that they plan on making Uncharted figures, or at least a Nate Drake? That's my most wanted figure.....

The Kratos did not look even a bit as good as the NECA figures. The Zeus did look pretty cool but then again, there is no previous release to compare him with.

Finally Lich King Arthas is made - this WILL be mine!

And no GOW 3 figures until November? So the game comes out in 3 weeks (March) and the figures aren't gonna be out for another 6 months following that?!?! Really?!? While diehard fans will no doubt still pick 'em up, I think DCD is gonna lose sales because of this. First rule of releasing an action figure based on a video game - make sure it's released at the same time as the video game! You'd think toy companies would have learned this by now. Personally, if they're as well done as the WOW figures, I'll buy 'em and I can't wait to see the Kratos figure, I just hope it's good.

I'm also excited to see what they do with Starcraft - some great designs there and I still think the Sideshow PF figure of the Terran Marine is the pinnacle of Starcraft awesomeness - maybe we'll get some mini-versions of something like that??

If these lines are anywhere near as cool as the WOW line has been, I'll be buying them...

DC Unlimited has acquired the action figure license for several hot Sony video game titles including Mass Effect 2, Killzone 2, Starcraft 2 and God of War 3. The majority of the new toy lines were on display but no photography was allowed, Here are the details of what was on exhibit at the DC Unlimited booth.

    Starcraft 2

The first wave of figures for this line was on display but photos were not permitted. The prototypes shown, included a Protoss, Space Marine and Terran Soldier (not heavily armored). The company has stated that these will be dynamically posed figures with very limited articulation like the World of Warcraft but the Space Marine on display seemed articulated and was not in a dynamic pose. DC stated that the articulation will very from one figure to another but had no specific details to share regarding which figures will be more articulated than others.

    Killzone 2

There was only concept art shown for 2 soldier figures from the game but no photography was allowed. No additional information was revealed regarding this toy line.

    Mass Effect

Although no images or prototypes were shown, DC Unlimited announced that the second series of Mass Effect will be released in December and will include Miranda, Legion, Mordin and Garrus.

    World of Warcraft

    Ratchet and Clank

Series 2 of rathet and Clank figure will include Ratchet in Holo Armor, Azimuth, Rusty Pete and The Smuggler (available November 2010)

    God of War 3

Only weeks away from this highly anticipated release of the game, DC Direct has announced that they will be producing God of War 3 figures. Prototypes of Kratos and Zeus were on display but no photography was allowed. The figures were dynamically posed but with extremely limited articulation. The first series of figures will be available in November and will consist of Kratos, Hades, Zeus and a fourth character which cannot be revealed yet.
