Robotech. The word alone evokes fond memories of watching cartoons with awesome jets that transform into giant robots, spaceship battles, humanity’s struggle against overpowering aliens, great characters, love triangles, and so much more. If you’re not a gamer you may not know that Palladium Games has supported the Robotech franchise with role-playing game books over the years (and a great series of current books in a rebooted version). Now, Palladium is partnering with Ninja Division to create a whole new miniatures game featuring the great mecha of the Robotech universe!

Details have been slowly revealed on this project, though we do know that it will launch with a Kickstarter project within the next few weeks. And while Palladium has been previewing some digital sculpt images, GAMA was the first place where people could look at actual prototypes of the plastic miniatures, and they looked great! On display were UEDF Destroid Defenders and Tomahawks, and various VF-1 series Valkyries in all three modes. The final products will require painting and assembly, but will feature great action poses and customizable elements.

Look for the Robotech RPG Tactics Kickstarter project in April to lock in your preorder and help get this game off the ground.
