mephisto1138 is very right. I played around with my friend's Play Arts Kai Metal Gear Snake and it is simply amazing. Just a great, robust size with nice firm articulation all over the place and mouth-watering sculpt and paints. $40 a pop for one of these is well worth it. Considering an import toy like Revoltech that stands only 4 inches tall are now like $30 and a 7" figure like MOTUC run $20 ($30 with shipping), $40 is a bargain for a 10" Kai. I'll probally get Jun from this series, but Jorge is where it's at for me- character is too cool.

SE figs have not be 20 dollars since the Advent Children line. Then VIII and X were a around 23, then XII was around 25, the VII game and Crisis Core game figs were around 30. Then they switched to the new Play Arts Kai body which is around 10 inches each, comes with a far more amazing base with 3 point articluated and rotatable grasping arm (though Snake didn't come with a base, so these probably won't either). The Play Arts Kai style bodies (FF, MGS, Halo, FMA Brotherhood) have THE most impressive sculpting to date, eons ahead of what's come before in the regular Play Arts style (ESPECIALLY ahead of the VII AC, VIII and X figs).

Once you get a Play Arts Kai fig in your hands, feel the weight, the absolutely brilliantly engineered articulation, the sculpting with crazy minute details, very soft flexible hair (ie: not hard sculpted with the head), the subtle paint apps... you'll wish they had access to more properties. They're easily the most astounding mass market figures in the under 1/6th scale realm. Seeing a pic and having their work in front of you is a very different experience.

If they had been listed at the regular Play Arts price of $20 I'd of probably picked them up. They look good, but not $50 apiece good.

The McFarlane Reach Emile is a mess. I haven't seen a single one on the pegs that didn't have an effed up skull, he literally CANNOT hold his shotgun cuz his hands are too open and the knife can't go in its shoulder sheath. Jorge is pretty amazing though, but they cut the wrist armor in an odd way and he has VERY limited arm range at the elbow because of it. Being a huge fan of the work SE has done on both FF and MGS figs, these Reach figs are a must buy for me. They were up on display at SDCC, they were mind blowing. I stared at them, stared at the Reach exclusive from McFarlane (that I thought was an in game character but wasn't, lol) and there's absolutely no comparison. And SE doesn't have the floppy joint issues McF has simply because of the scale.

IDK as nice as they are they're 50$ A PIECE!!! Thats...a lot! Well for me at least. I might get 1 of these MAYBE. Never liked the scale of the other Halo figs (too small). They look great though!
