Robotech RPG Tactics Robotech Miniature Game Brings Your Favorite Classic Mecha... If you're a child of the 80s (like most of us at Figures.com), then chances are you're a fan of or at least remember Robotech. One of the most influential cartoons from Japan to air in the U.S., albeit in a somewhat different form, Robotech was a sweeping sci-fi space opera with everything from alien space ships to fast-paced combat, love triangles, real-life messages of pacifism and responsibility, and more. Of course, what most people remember are the series' incredible mecha designs! The heroic Earth forces featured awesome Veritechs, F-18 Tomcat-inspired fighter planes that transformed into giant robots, in addition to the walking tanks of the Destroids. Meanwhile, the giant alien Zentraedi fought in "pods" of various kinds from the standard Regult Battlepod to the heavily armed and armored Glaug Officer's Battlepod. Robotech toys are few and far between these days, and mainly relegated to high end collectibles with a few exceptions. Now, though, the cool Veritechs, Destroids, and Battlepods are featured in a new miniatures game from Palladium Books, Ninja Division, and Harmony Gold. The initial launch is happening right now on Kickstarter - HERE - with the Robotech RPG Tactics Boxed Game. The standard kit includes 20 miniatures (1/285th scale high quality, multi-pose plastic), rules, battle dice, cards, and more. Backers can also receive a variety of extras including exclusive models, additional components, and artwork not available anywhere else. Whether you're a gamer or not, all Robotech fans should check this out! - Scott Rubin To insure your action figure collection, get in touch with Collectibles Insurance, the official insurance company of the Figures.com network.
